Sunshine, grandma’s cinnamon swirls, Hungarian fruits. Mixing work and holiday.
I forgot to mention that two young owls moved in to the park next to our flat (in Hungary). They are chatting all night, even though they can’t really sleep during the day because the weather is so hot. We managed to find them but I only had my crappy iPhone camera to take pictures with. Nevertheless these guys are quite cool.
Back at home again today, I restarted my training. I was running on the embankment when I noticed these two grazing Hungarian grey cattle. With their size and ancient pride, they were truly incredible.
The reason of this phenomenon is that the zoo is just right there, so they probably just took an hour off from work.
Hope to see them again but I’m not planning to train again in the hottest part of the day, unless I really want to get a stroke.
So much for the tech related posts today. ENO’s interpretation of Simon Boccanegra was excellent today! I mean Giuseppe Verdi never let’s you down but ENO sometimes modernises too much. It was quite good though because at times I prefer simplistic sets over classic renaissance stuff and it didn’t take away anything from the value of the production.
On the other hand it wasn’t near as good as last year’s Boccanegra at Covent Garden with Placido Domingo. But still really nice stuff!
Mozart was a cool dude, but he wasn’t the top guy in composing opera in my honest opinion. He could have just tell the same story in an hour but instead he’s dragging it with that piano-like instrument and its weird sound. Still it was much better than most of the contemporary crap I get to hear. It was more than relaxing. And it was good to see the barbican centre again. Nice building, brand, and wayfinding.
Today I planned to do some shopping for clothes… This is a challenge for me every time, I don’t want to go into detail now. After I had a look at some my favourite brands and I couldn’t find anything, I realised that it wasn’t retail therapy that I really needed. So I went to the Zoo and I got inspired.
And yes. I do have time for this.

I flew again in my dream and I taught others how to do it. Good morning.
